Fri, 05 Sep 2008 00:15:26 PDT-The No. 18 Oregon Ducks were guarded against seeing Utah State as an easy win. Recent history has pointed reminders: Appalachian State over Michigan, Stanford over Southern California. "We still have to work hard. We still have to play hard," running back Jeremiah Johnson said about the tone this week, leading up to that game against the Aggies.
Wed, 03 Sep 2008 14:22:57 PDT-Oregon offensive tackle Fenuki Tupou will return to the Ducks on Saturday against Utah State after serving a one-game suspension because he received improper benefits from the representative of a management company. But talk to the Oregon coaches and players and that can't matter when the teams meet in Eugene this week.
"We've got to get pumped up for these guys, no matter who it is," defensive tackle Cole Linehan told the Eugene Register-Guard. "It may not be a rival, it may not be a league game, but it's still a game (where) we have to make sure we take care of business."
Taking care of business was rather easy for the Ducks last week, despite the latest chapters in the soap opera that is the Oregon quarterback position. The opener was against rival Washington and it was a league game.
Sun, 31 Aug 2008 19:25:33 PDT-Oregon offensive tackle Fenuki Tupou missed the Ducks' season-opening win over Washington because he accepted a meal and received $100 from the representative of a professional sport management firm, the university said Sunday. The 6-foot-6, 330-pound senior served the one-game, NCAA-imposed suspension Saturday after reporting his actions to the athletic department earlier in the week and turning...

Fri, 05 Sep 2008 08:16:14 GMT-FEDERAL WAY, Wash. - Scout.com caught up with Federal Way star Andre Barrington Thursday, and the 6-foot-2, 207-pound RB/DB had a surprise for us; he was in street clothes. We had come prepared to see the latest Washington State commit in action, but some knee soreness sidelined him for the Eagles' opener at home against Auburn.

Fri, 05 Sep 2008 05:46:05 GMT-For the guys in the trenches anybody at anytime can come in punch you right the mouth. The Oregon defensive line knows that quite well, especially being ranked No. 18 in the Associated Press polls, there is a target on the Ducks back. According to defensive tackle Sonny Harris, the Ducks have accomplished some things but there is still work to do this week against Utah State.
